Paul sets sail to Rome but it is anything but “smooth sailing.” God’s commitment to getting Paul to Rome amplified through a storm, ship-wreak and snake bite. The lives of all the prisoners are spared for the sake of Paul and they finally reach Rome. Paul is on house arrest and calls the Jews to come listen to him. And Luke ends the book with words that set the trajectory of the future church.

Before Paul is sent to Rome he stands before King Agrippa. We see how politics come into play as the leaders try to figure out what to do. We are introduced to Apollos. He is a good preacher who needs a certain part of his theology tweaked. What is going on with believers not knowing about the Holy Spirit? Reasoning with people is a big part of Paul’s evangelism strategy. Paul’s reputation and message spreads until all of Asia hears the gospel.
